Microsoft's Self-Sabotage

BTW: A special thanks to Ms.Mary Nathan
BTW: A special thanks to Ms.Mary Nathan
Its been more than I while since I ever took time for my own sometimes abandoned blog.
I recently made a clean install of Microsoft last (till now) Operative System (OS) Windows 10.
And I've realized that some stuff was missing, but that normal on Ms. updates, there's something that will be missing or sometimes changed.
Like always since Windows 8 ( from XP to 7 I didn't saw those things), Microsoft start adding new applications that that they want to you to use, even with the old ones still working nice.
In Win8, Microsoft added those new Apps that I liked ( Music, Photos, etc, etc.). The problem wasn't the apps, but Ms. trying to make them default. Its completely normal to add new stuff and if its better... Well make them default ( its not 100% certain, but you can do that as the creator).
Now, why add new stuff that works that same was as the old?
Why add new stuff that work the same way as the old and let the old stuff there?
And why add new stuff when the older is better or can be better with plugins or other stuff ?
Those 3 questions are the main reason why some new apps from Microsoft never get that desired attention, at least from the old school Windows users.
I always used Windows Media Player as my default audio/video player. WMP doesn't reproduce every kind of music or video, well... Not at the beginning of things, but if you find the right Codec every thing changes.
More then the half of the old school Windows users change their default programs, sometimes is not because they suck, but because they rather use the old ones, and ... Cheez, the old ones still there.
They removed Windows Media Center (Win XP,Vista, 7), Windows 7 games, etc, etc. Many people didn't like it, but we live with that (well... Some of us lol), but What's done its done. So I call that as Microsoft Self-Sabotage, they make new stuff worst or just in the same level as the old, sometimes they just change the appearance
There's a ton of topics all over the internet, forums that talk about Windows 8 and 10 and changing x program and put y as default and stuff.

How my Visual Studio started working again after I decide to update
I was using VSE2015 (E for Enterprise) for a few months more than 5.
It was Sunday 10th July 2016
Then I decide to test this Xamarin thing and some option like MVC wasn't appearing in my projects option.
I've downloaded a VS from a external link (not from Microsoft's), at that moment I didn't knew that I could download the ISO from they own web site.
After that I uninstalled my VS to install the new one. I didn't want to update nothing, I wanted get everything new from the beginning [lol].
I select custom installation and I checked every thing that I wanted(Android something, Xamarin, web tools, it took me about 33GB)
As you can see in the screenshot over there.
Since the stupid VS setup didn't told me that I needed internet connection to install those items that I had selected I was installing with and without the internet.
I had the internet turned on, but every time I saw getmac.exe command window I turned off. It was too suspicious. At first I thought that that was a virus because I've download from a untrusted source (for me it wasn't).
But my 2 antivirus didn't say anything and from my Windows knowledge no strange application has arrived my PC without me knowing that day.
So I realized that it was really from VS installation process and the more suspicious thing is that every time I turned off the internet, after a amount of time the getmac.exe appeared like he was expecting me to do that.
Since MS has being accused of spying and other things, I wasn't let any probably spying action ruin my day, so I was turning on and off the internet (I was also downloading other things). If MS wanted to spy the loyal user (I'm talking about me) they could spy another day, because that wasn't the right time.
I even learn how to what the programs that was using internet through cmd, I was so focused on watch who's using the internet and what their doing that I some people could call me "CIA for a day" [ROTFL, LOL ][Joking]
After several hours, the setup finished and when I tried to open one of my projects ... Sh**t I got an error that I never saw before on any moment of my VS user's life
Then after that, it was error after errors, project not loading, vbc.exe error , etc etc
After that I've repaired several times and nothing was working I uninstalled and re-installed several times and nothing was working till today 16.07.2016

Well after some advice from Social.Msdn,Microsoft and other places on the web my VS is finally working. But I didn't test ASP.NET and there's still many problems that I may find later.
I've done many things to put him back to work.
I've uninstall and re-install more than 4 times.
I decide to delete and uninstall everything related with VS that I could, since VS wasn't working anyway I wouldn't lose anything special.
First thing I did was uninstall the VS, then
I've download msiinv.
Then I opened cmd and went to the directory were msiinv was trhough 'cd':
msiinv.exe -p >msiinv.txt
Then I open the msiinv.txt and search for "visual studio" so I uninstalled the following programs
PS: To uninstall locate the program data folder give a right click to the msi file
PS: To uninstall locate the program data folder give a right click to the msi file
PS2: Only uninstall what matches with the version of VS you're trying to fix, and I didn't unistalled nothing that took ASP.NET or just .NET, because IIS may need that or other programs.
PS3:Since I wasn't expecting successful results I may put 2 or 3 items more than I really uninstalled, but I can tell you that there's no more than 3

After that I was deleting all folder related. Since my VS program files(x86) folder wasn't delete idk why, I decide to delete the folder.
C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 14.0
I used a program called NSIS and I made something to delete
Delall -VS2015 its like a normal text file, just download NSIS, edit the file and compile.
Do not try to make cool editions, most of the folder are there, you'll need to add a few more.
run this through cmd -> mkdir C:\TestDeletion\WillBe then test with this https://1drv.ms/u/s!AtDflKLIrdZEjrdC4Lw40plXpPW5rw
You will see that the folder above will be delete, so its safe as long you know what you're doing.
After those steps I delete everything from the Recycle Bin and start to manually delete all this folders
PS: Don't delete permanently because, something may occur and you won't be able to restore, except Blend and Team Foundation, since I don't like the "Blend" name and I never used TFS I delete permanently and nothing wrong happened
PS2: I also delete VisualStudioSecondaryInstaller ,permanently

"C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Blend"
"C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Team Foundation"

"C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\VisualStudioSecondaryInstaller"
"C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\VisualStudio\14.0"
"C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Team Foundation"
Then I turned off the internet and installed the "vs2015.3.ent_enu.iso" downloaded from MS official website.
After the installation complete it gave some error about analitics tool or something that couldn't be downloaded.
Then I try to open my VS projects from VB and C#, the I had an error telling to re-install Visual Studio (sorry I forgot the entire error name).
Then I made some researches and someone was saying that delete some registry entries didn't worked for him, so I decide to do that.
I delete those:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\VisualStudio\14.0
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\VisualStudio\14.0_Config
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\VisualStudio\14.0_Remote
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\VisualStudio\ABExp
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\VisualStudio\Telemetry
and then I turned off the internet and repaired VS with the "vs2015.3.ent_enu.iso"
And that's how everything worked again for me.
Please share this for every one that needs

Windows 10 and me
Top 10 reason to upgrade
This post is based on my experiences with Windows 10 and what I disagree on this video.
First of all, I'm gonna download and use whenever I really needs and also DirectX12 and some new processor from Intel probably will only use Windows OSes above 8/8.1 It's Windows 10 or no support , but ain't gonna forget Windows 8, I'm using 8 and I didn't forgot about Vista.
Its free, its cool, but the fact of people using it, doesn't mean that its the great or the best or they want to. I know people that thought Windows 10 was a theme and they was asking to get his PC as it was before.
Windows 10 is so fav than other version that he may delete some of your programs that you don't want, but you are ashamed to uninstall lol Windows 10 update may remove programs automatically;
Windows 10 is so fav that some users shouldn't have little updates anymore, they should upgrade to him lol Windows 10 upgrades reportedly appearing as mandatory for some users;
Windows 10 is so fav that count downs when you should upgrade
Windows 10 has the highest customer satisfaction of any version? Windows 10 is so secure that has already tons of pirate versions installed. Windows 10 is so secure that avoid people doing mistakes that so they screw you before you screw yourself Windows 10 Update may remove programs automatically Really, I never ever hear anyone complain so hard about Windows 7 when Windows 8 arrived, even now Windows 7 is still a model (at least for me) Windows 10, has so many complains, that sometimes it seems that Microsoft made those mistakes on purpose. Windows 10 is cool, but don't say his the favorite, if he was you wouldn't indirectly force people to install Windows 10.
And please stop f**ng thinking that everybody cares about Cortana.
As a Windows users I like Windows 10, but as a Windows 8 user, I'm unhappy with that. When Windows 8 came many users was unhappy because MetroUI, but I liked and we became friends, it was so cool when someone was using my PC and he was not understanding how those apps worked and them comes Windows 10, with that Windows7/8/8.1 users compatibility, but some guys didn't want a mix-tape, we jjust want our Windows 7, 8 or 8.1. Windows 10 is cool, but he shouldn't come with this thing of upgrades right now, if we get back a while we're gonna see that Windows 7 and 8 users has let Windows XP and Vista with our own will, it was not need some warning and stuff. Anyway... Thats what I think.
Ckeck this out1 auto updates are for our own good
Check this out2 Diehard users refuse to move to Windows 10
PS: Some links are not from this year, but you should read because statics are not everyone at all, but just the majority, some users kept the same OS, others are in Windows 10 but they didn't say that love it, etc etc.
Thanks for reading folks

Facebook Security: Malware scanner or maybe fishing attempt or even just normal scan stuff?
Facebook security, Malware scanner or maybe fishing attempt?
I have this issue since 5 minutes ago, and this thing didn't download any Eset it downloads a Kaspersky Malware Scanner.
But it didn't show any progress bar, the setup didn't ran even after I clicked 3 times.
Since it was too suspicious I turn off the connection lol, but Facebook didn't show that I've download or something like that.
I did a scan with Eset (his one of my AVs) and a cloud scan with dumb ass Baidu Antivirus, Baidu first said that was okay, but after the second scan it was saying unknown.
So I delete with Baidu file shredder rsrsrsr, I was like if it is trying to get info, you aint gonna get away with this.
Then Google Chrome was using more cpu that he was and I was like wtf? Sh**t I was right to do all that, and I thought I was already infected by a spyware.
But I had plenty virus experience, in the beginning when Windows 7 arrived, I fought with some viruses manually, it was hard but I nailed and lost the battle rsrsrsrs, At least I had XP.
So I opened Windows Services and Task Scheduler.
I search for any automatic service that was running, and I didn't found any thing new. Then it was the time of Task Scheduler, I've search only in the Task Scheduler library tasks and I found some strange tasks, I even found a tasks that runs some program on Sys32 and then executes a .js file in ProgramData, I read the file, but my C++(I think) isn't the best and I didn't want to take a lot of time trying to understand the code, and since it runs a 20:49 I did't care, this time I'm awake any if something strange happens and I didn't find out till now it means that nothing happens lol and the file had some thing about Baidu so I think is not of any concern.
I didn't search for start items or registry coz every registry modification I see a pop up notification from Eset here and nothing came up, so registry was clean.
After some searches I found that it happened to other, so I calm down a little and download the file again.
Before the download finishes my Facebook had open and I press cancel to that. I just don't need any scan, my PC is clean, and I have some hack-tool and viruses for self learning and I didn't want to have to fight with some online tool and say that they was alright and the could stay where they are or even find out that the removal tool has clean them up, so ...
We all get a happy ending except this guy : When facebook forces you to download ...Own antivirus gets knocked out Well that was some kind of alert to me, but he made out later
You can read those topics too about people that had the same issue
What To Do When Facebook Locks You Out
You can log into Facebook and the scan will continue working. We'll send you a Facebook notification when the scan is finished.
Facebook forcing us to download Kaspersky malware hoax
PS1: I didn't ran because I kill the process of the first two and the second just IDK
PS2: I thing Google Chrome thing was just a coincidence.
PS3: I found something on the Google about the .js file, I'm gonna check out, if you have that to just be on guard C:\ProgramData\duplicaterecord.js
